It is a pleasure to be able to share with you a little of the story that inspired the writing of my article "Football in the chronicles of doctor Moacyr Scliar". I have always been very excited about all the football matches and that is why I was very excited about the publication of my text.
The initial starting point was
reading the chronicles of my favorite writer, the Brazilian Moacyr Scliar. I
started to separate the texts in which he wrote about football. At first I
thought it would be one or two, but I realized there were several and that
would be interesting to prepare an article revealing to readers Scliar's
appreciation for this sport. Even more interesting was realizing that this
writer always linked football to human relationships, such as the interaction
between a couple and between business people. Guys, I was overjoyed when I
learned that the most celebrated player in the chronicles was Ronaldo Nazário,
voted the Best Player in the World by FIFA in 1996, 1997 and 2002. Known
worldwide as the “Phenomenon”, Ronaldo is remembered for his strength, talent
and agility.
As a writer who always inserts a
pinch of humor into his texts, Scliar did not leave out the mention of the
players considered to be the ugliest in all the World Cups. People themselves
accessed the website www.uglyfootballers.com and voted. The result brought
Carlos Valderrama and Diego Maradona among the members of the list. But for
Scliar what matters is their talent.
